Requiem Aeternam es una banda nacida en Uruguay, pero hoy en día se encuentra radicada en los Estados Unidos. Comenzaron con un sonido crudo, con influencias del black metal sueco de bandas como Dissection, pero luego se volcaron a un metal más experimental, muchas veces comparados con Opeth.
En las letras se refleja el amor de José Romero (Vocalista/Guitarrista) por la filosofía (Philosopher) y la música clásica (Destiny Man).
En lo personal, creo que es y será por siempre la mejor banda de metal de mi país, insuperables por su intelectualismo y personalidad.
Obligatorio para todo amante del metal nacido en Uruguay.
